Revu is one film that not many even knew until a few weeks ago. Ever since the trailer was launched by the makers, Revu has become a talking point for its rustic visuals and interesting storyline. The makers have announced the release date of the film and the village drama will be out on August 23, 2024.

Director Harinath Puli on Revu

Revu has been directed by Harinath Puli and speaking about the film he says "I have made the film with a lot of dedication. It is very hard to make a film on such a unique subject and thank my producers for believing in me as such subjects are not easily backed by many".

The film is set in a small village and is about a man who earns his living by riding a small fishing boat. What happens when such a man is challenged by the villain who brings a sophisticated and big boat to kill his livelihood? Harinath Puli is quite confident that the performances in the film will win the attention of the audience.

Revu features Vamsi Ram Pendyal, Ajay, Swathi Bheemireddy, and Epuri Hari in key roles. Dr. Murali Ginjupalli and Naveen Parupalli produce the film under the Samhith Entertainment and Parupalli Production banners. The film is made on a very low budget and Harinath says that only when the film was ready and watched by a few the word of mouth spread and Revu was sold for a decent price.

Lastly, Harinath Puli added that the three songs and trailers have caught the imagination of one and all. "Revu will be a different experience for the audience. Though it might take time to come to the theaters, once the audience does, they will be immersed in my village drama and I guarantee it," says Harinath. Well, only time will tell if this film lives up to all the hype created by the makers.
